Introducing the new Complex Hip Surgery website…

We have a brand new, improved website - in this post we explain the improvements we’ve made, some new features and how it fits with our plans for complexhipsurgery.com.

When we first launched complexhipsurgery.com more than seven years ago we never imagined the interest it would attract, nor its value in disseminating knowledge about complex hip surgery techniques and practices.

So we’re delighted to unveil the new Complex Hip Surgery website, which takes full advantage of developments in web design and use over recent years.

We think you’ll find the new site easier to explore and navigate, and you can expect new case studies on the way too.

Exploring case studies

Our improved Cases page is now presented as a fully searchable directory. You can type in a search term or use the filter options to narrow down the selection and explore specific areas of interest.

We’ve created a new Case Guide section that explains how to make the most of the search functionality. You’ll find some helpful background on the Ladders of Reconstruction, which we use to define the level of complexity of a case. You can also search for cases by reason for surgery, based on the National Joint Registry (NJR) reason codes.

Better visibility

The site is optimised to make our work easy to find via search engines. We want to make sure that our medical colleagues across the world can locate and refer to relevant work with ease. It’s our goal to share share knowledge on better ways of fixing failed hips, to drive better outcomes for all.

We’d love to know what you think — get in touch if you’ve any feedback or suggestions.
